Venue - Ipswich Museum (meet outside the pink doors to the Art Gallery in Upper High Street)

We are offering two more exclusive “behind the scenes” tours of the Museum to enable members to see how the renovation works are taking shape now that the scaffolding is just beginning to come down. You will have the opportunity to see the exhibition spaces that will soon be filled again with precious objects, examine in detail some of the challenges still being faced by the redevelopment team, and discuss with Museums Manager Alison Hall and members of the Gipping team how the Museum will look this time next year.

Please ensure that you wear sturdy closed toe shoes. You will be provided with a hard hat and hi-vis vest to wear during the tour. The first floor can only be accessed via stairs at present, so those with mobility concerns might struggle with accessing some areas.
